You may say, at first seeing this, how is everything in this world sales? I should expand on this. Really, I should say every action or every motivation is sales. We are sold ideas everyday. Every decision we make or reason for doing what is we do is based on either finding pleasure or avoiding pain. Everything you purchase falls into these two categories.

Every choice we have made was based on a sale. Someone sold you an idea and you acted on it. Our whole life we have been sold a bill of goods. Most of them being limited beliefs. I see it everyday in people’s doubts and fears!

Your Religion sold you the idea that you would be better off in Heaven than Hell, if you believe in that kind of thing. Why do you go to church every Sunday? Your parents probably sold you on the idea that’s what good people do. You have been sold the idea of good and bad, right and wrong. These are all beliefs.

You had to “sell yourself” to your boss as being a good employee or a hard worker, ethical and so on, to get that job. Everything is sales. You had to sell yourself to your girlfriend/or boyfriend that you would be a great partner. Sometimes peoples’ perceived notion of beauty is enough to make the sale. Like that guy or that girl is hot so I am going to pursue them. The idea of the pleasure of being with that person outweighs the notion of the pain of rejection.

All of our beliefs were sold to us. As a newborn baby you had no beliefs. You were a clean slate, easily convinced of the duality of this world. The mind perfectly reflecting everything presented to it.

Ultimately you had to agree with a belief system presented to you. Most of the time you are not a choice in the matter. These beliefs become unconscious and over time you dont even remember why you believe what you do!!

Now back to sales. You sold yourself on the concept of being with a mate. Why did you go on a date with that person? Was it because you anticipated how great the sex would be, was it your discomfort with being alone, maybe sex, was it the pleasure of companionship, sex, to have fun, sex?

You see, we rarely ever question why we do the things we do!!

I hear most people say I hate sales, or I can’t do sales. Well guess what you better learn how. If you ever want to succeed in life or achieve any goals you have to get good at this skill.

How much value do you bring to the marketplace?

This will determine your paycheck. I dont care if it is in your J.O.B. or you are self-employed. Everything is sales. read “How to Win friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie. Get good at people skills because otherwise you will be a doormat for alphas to walk all over.

People may think this is negative, saying everything is Sales but I am just trying to help you out. I wrote this article to help you on the path of transformation. To free you from the prison of fate. This is not so much about control as much as it is about navigating the ocean of Energy and Life.

Question everything,but dont be over-skeptical or you will pass up some great opportunities. Once you see everything as sales you will be less likely to be manipulated into buying into bullcrap and being easily manipulated.

You have greatness within you. Sales is a skill anyone can learn and master with the right action. Until you get good at, in the least, selling yourself to the world, your life will be a struggle!!

You have the right to dream and to Live Your Dreams. Dont let anyone crush your dreams and passion. The world will try to drag you down into its mediocrity, DONT LET IT!!!

In the past he who had the most money to spend on advertising WON!!! Today the tables have turned and now he who builds the best brand and community wins. The trends show that people are attracted to brands and rely on social media to learn what they “can’t live without.” Its all about the buzz and building a loyal community and “tribe” to spread the word about your products or service.

Word of Mouth Marketing goes a lot further to building your brand and growing your business. That why more business models are going into the network marketing industry than into the advertising industry.

Here are several reasons Why Advertising doesnt Work Like It Did In The Past:

• We are all bombarded daily by many forms of advertising. We are exposed to a minimum of 250 to 500 ads everyday. Because of so many advertising methods always trying to “steal” our attention no wonder we all suffer from ADD ( Attention Deficit Disorder). The average attention span of a human today in the civilized world is about 10 to 20 seconds on average. If you dont catch someones attention with that time you lose them. Thats why email advertising also doesnt work like it used to 10 years ago. Also the massive spamming out there in internet land doesnt help either.
• People do not trust Advertising and Big Corporations anymore. How many times have you been misled by advertising or walked into a “big box” store and were “tricked” into buying something you didnt need or even want?!!! With the advent of social media now people are informed more and more by what there friends and contacts are recommending or talking about. Social Networking in the past few years has grown in leaps and bounds. As of Jan 2012 there are over 700 million people on facebook. If someone posts a question about a certain product the most responses a person gets the more likely they will look into those recommendation. with the world connected through social media it is much easier to build a brand and for your marketing to go viral.
• Creativity and Ingenuity go a lot further than the advertising tricks. With the competition of the internet the most creative and viral far outweigh the amount of money thrown at a marketing campaign. Although, you never know what will go viral, social media has made it more powerful to build a viral campaign. Look for creative and fun ways to promote your business. Look at what is getting the most hits on youtube and whats trending and always fuel the imagination.
• People trust their friends/family and their social groups over companies and corporations. getting people excited and talking about your great products and or service will transform your business in positive ways. Avoid hype and give people things to talk about. Be original, be creative…THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX!!!
• Create a Thinktank. This is a solution to the problem of advertising. bring together either offline, online or conference calls the most creative people you can find to brainstorm on attention getting methods on building your brand. First things first, you need a great product or service you words and actions can back up.

Now that you know that advertising and a large marketing budget alone will just cause you to go bankrupt. Now, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO ABOUT IT?!!!

How to Generate Your Own network marketing Leads Online

If you are new to network marketing or have been in the industry for many years if you are struggling in building your business or have run out of your warm market the internet is a bridge to new prospects. I generally have my new recruits make a list of at least 100 people and call those people or meet with them. There are many offline ways to grow your warm market offline such as networking groups and meetup but this article will be about generating leads online.

The following list will be the fundamentals on How to Generate Your Own network marketing Leads Online

1. The first step is to start building your brand. That will be YOU, Inc. This will take time to build but getting started today is paramount to long-term success. Your brand will be your name, face, voice and value you bring to the marketplace. Purchase a domain name as your name such as paulbutler.com if the domain is already taken add a who is or work with before your name.
2. Now that you have your domain create a wordpress blog on that domain. start blogging everyday bringing value with your posts. You also want to have a sales funnel built into your blog. I use a funnel and system called MLSP. MLSP is a marketing training and sales funnel. Click here for an example.
3. Now you want to start driving traffic to your blog…
4. Free Marketing techniques. Free marketing would be things such as article marketing, social marketing such as facebook, twitter and youtube. commenting on other high traffic blogs and creating a newsletter.
5. Paid marketing techniques: Some of the top paid marketing techniques are Google PPC (pay per click), Facebook PPC, you can buy leads from a reputable company, use viral url or traffic swarm. You could also outsource your marketing campaigns. I also use a auto syndication system called Tribepro. Its a community of marketers who syndicate each others content through social media.
6. You also need a lead capture page for your business opportunity. Such as you will find by clicking >>> my lead capture page . This lead capture page is built into the MLSP system. You want a call to action in all your marketing.
7. My favorite source of traffic and lead generation is youtube. You have people watching you, they see you hear your voice it is a much better way to warm up a prospect than a sales letter. If you call them they feel like they already know you!!
8. I learned from one of my mentors that if you are out there fishing it is better to have many hooks with different bait than just one hook with one kind of bait. Different things will resonate better for different people. Start with one technique you learn, do that for 30 days or until you get good at it and learn something new.

In this industry we never stop learning. Remember the simple things are much easier to duplicate and the fundamentals of this industry never change. It really is a numbers game. The more people you talk to and present your opportunity to the more successful you will become. We really do want quality over quantity. This will save you time and money but this you will learn in time.

What a great question!!

If you had no fear would you live your dreams? Would you speak your mind? There would be no comfort zone to keep you imprisoned. I guarantee to you that it is your fear that is keeping you from living the life of your dreams.

If you werent afraid, where would you live, what would you do?

Would you fly to the moon? Would you dance naked in the rain?

How would you live your life if this were your last day? What if it was just the beginning? a great Zen Monk once said….

“Inch, Time, Foot, Gem.”

What does this mean? It means that each moment you have on this Earth in your body is worth more than a priceless gem!!

It all depends on how you choose to live it. What makes us different than a butterfly, bee or duck is that animals live by instinct we have something called “FREE WILL” This means we have the freedom of choice. Although the great late George Carlin used to say “The only real choice you have is between paper or plastic“!!

I would like to change this to we have the possibility of free will. Unfortunately most of us are products of our environment, of our past!! Most of us will not break free of our conditioning. We aren’t even a choice in the matter.

This is not being negative, it is just the TRUTH!!

The human race is like a caged human animal. Our Spirits have been broken. When was the last time you jumped out of bed excited, enthusiastic, ready to take the bull by the horns excited to take on a new day? When was the last time you played, relaxed had fun?

We all have whats called an internal map of reality. These become filters to the world. Most of our beliefs have been programmed into our minds, holding us prisoners. We need to wake up and be aware of our thoughts and the patterns of our mind to change. We shall focus on our dreams and goals. Stay the course my friend!!

How do you know when someone needs encouragement? If they are breathing!! Encouragement is oxygen for the soul. Lets lift each other up!!

If our comfort zone is keeping us from our dreams why do we stay there? Because its comfortable. We don’t know any better. The emotions of discomfort have caused us to build a life to keep us from feeling those feelings we call negative emotions. They are just feelings my friend.

We have a built a life around avoiding those emotions we call bad. We have built themes around those emotions. We need to learn to include and embrace those emotions. Here are a few; Sad, angry, humiliated, shy, tired, embarrassed, lonely, frightened, jealous, etc. In pursuing your dreams you will be confronted by these emotions, I guarantee it!!

Just let them be okay. Be Aware and know that they are a part of the journey. They are obstacles that you will overcome in time. They are signs that you are stepping out of your comfort zone.

On any Road to Success there will be many obstacles to overcome. A Road to Riches is laden with obstacles. A great person once said if it were easy everyone would be doing it. Any great achievement takes time, perseverance, hard work and consistency. WHAT WE HAVE IS WHAT Darren Hardy calls the Compound Effect. This is doing simple little steps consistently over time to achieve great things.

The Key is to NEVER give up!!! Failure is not an option. I will proceed until I achieve my goals…

I have a few simple steps to take to help you on your path to Success and achieving your goals so you can “Live Your Dreams” !!!

3 Simple Steps to Achieve Your Goals

1. Write Down Your Goals: Writing down your goals is the first thing you want to do. Why do you want to do this? Because have you never written them down in the past! If you do write your goals down in a journal, have you evaluated and modified them lately? You see the definition of insanity is to do the same things day in and day out and expect things to be different. Writing down your goals will solidify, or in other words make real, the thoughts floating around in your mind. Your goals will also hold you accountable.
2. Action Plan: Next you are going to need a plan of action. these are the money making steps you will need to do daily and consistently to take you on your path to achieving your goals. These may be things like; making a list, daily marketing, calling leads, calling prospects, having meetings learning new skills and bringing value to the marketplace. This is also where time management comes in handy. Give your time limits for each action; such as I will make calls between 5:00PM and 7:00PM. Or write and article and post it and syndicate it 1 hour per day; say between 10:00 AM to 11:00AM
3. Start NOW and Take Action consistently. Procrastination is the number one cause of failure. Putting things off until tomorrow will guarantee you do not achieve your goals. The thing is if you wait for tomorrow, tomorrow will never come. Life is a now experience. Now I make a change, Now I take the first step of many. Also remember: to achieve great things you will have to step outside of your comfort zone. You know you are making progress when you feel uncomfortable and you do it anyways!!

Alrighty then…

Now that you have these three important and simple steps to get you going on the path of positive change and transformation go right now and pick up a nice journal from your local store, if you dont already have one, and start writing down your goals.

Give yourself a 10 year plan, where you want to be in 5 years, 3 years 1 year and a month from now. You can always reevaluate and create new goals as you achieve the ones you set for yourself so stop procrastinating and plug yourself into the Law of Attraction of the Universe!!

Successful network marketing – The Reality

I first encountered Multi Level Marketing/MLM/network marketing in 1991. It was a company, I’m sure you have all heard of, called Amway. A old neighbor of my brother and I invited us to Burger King to prospect us. We both thought it was a scam, LOL!!!!

I was broke, working at a gas station pumping gas, making minimum wage at the time. So what did I know?.

Fast-foward 21 years I have been with 6 MLM companies from health and wellness to Legal services until I finally found my “perfect fit” in January of 2011.

I never made any money before the current company I am in. here are several reasons why…

The Reality.

1. Although I really pushed the products, most people weren’t interested in antioxidants and legal insurance. The main objection was that they didn’t want to risk any money.

2. I didn’t have enough start up capital to do my promotions justice and although I introduced users and promoters I always fell just short of the monthly join up requirements to be paid. Being paid for my efforts might just have made the difference if I could have used what I had earned to increase my promotions.

3. I joined with a very nice lady but she was also new to network marketing. As her upline didn’t offer any help to her we helped each other. It was fun but like the blind leading the blind.

I tried with that company for several months and never got paid. In the meantime I started a brick and mortar computer repair business. Getting over 35,000 dollars in debt, working 60 to 70 hours per week and barely breaking even…

I thought there has got to be a better way. And also I dint make a good employee!!!

I knew people who had piles of the products stashed away and never likely to be used. Why? Because some of the companies require you to buy an amount of product every month before you are paid for your efforts and your downlines efforts.

Companies shifting the goalposts just when promoters start to do well.

I would get telephone calls inviting me to join a wonderful opportunity. Because I am polite I didn’t tell them to get lost when they were extolling the virtues of companies that I probably knew more than them about. I would list my objections and get really annoying answers:

I’m not interested in the product
…The product doesn’t matter you will soon earn lots of money

I haven’t got time
…You only need to spend an hour a week on this business

I already have a lot of projects on the go and wouldn’t be able to do this business justice and spend time helping those who joined with me.
…They won’t need any help this business is easy to run

I could go on but I’m sure you get the drift. I really grew to detest network marketing and some of those that it attracted, but being in daily contact with them was part of my business so grinning and bearing it was a daily chore.

Until one day I had the pleasure of meeting an online marketing “guru”. He plugged me into his system. I started learning every week new skills to build my company online.

That guy impressed me, he became very successful and his downline was successful. So now I work hand in hand with many of the top leaders in network marketing and my primary business. Now I bring value to the marketplace with the skills I have learned along the way.

So the moral of the story is plug into a system and find a mentor to take your business and your life to the next level!!

Start looking online for a work-from-home network marketing opportunity that works for you. You can realize success and meet other great people as you reach your goals. Warming Up Your Cold Market — Six network marketing Strategies For Success

Are you finding that prospecting and working your “cold market” is getting chillier these days? I’ve noticed this, especially in the last year. When I contact people who had responded to an advertisement that my company ran, it is much more difficult to establish rapport than it used to be!

I’ve been quite surprised to see how much more closed and suspicious people have been compared to when I made phone calls just a year ago. Perhaps the challenges in today’s world have made their impact on people. They are more fearful, less likely to trust someone they don’t know.

How do you build rapport and build your network marketing business in times like this? You will need a little more patience, but if you persevere and follow these five basic network marketing strategies, you can warm up even the chilliest of cold markets!

First, I’d like to review the basic network marketing strategies that create successful organizations. It’s important to understand that the people who excel in network marketing have a large circle of influence. A circle of influence means that there are a lot of people that know you, like you and trust you. If you don’t already have a large circle of influence, and you want to succeed in network marketing, you’re going to need to build one!

How do you build a circle of influence? One person at a time! It is always best to start with people that you know. Contact them and ask them for referrals. Participate in your community, attend Chamber of Commerce events, and hold local meetings. You develop yourself into a leader both personally and professionally, to attract other like minded professionals.

Online, you do the same in the internet community. You build a presence on the internet with a newsletter list or blog (or both) or website, so that you can build a relationship with people. You provide a way that they can get to know you… like an online photo album, and a personal “Get to Know Me” page.

These are the basics of good network marketing. Once you’ve contacted the people that you know, you will want to expand your circle of influence even further and get to know some new people! You can do this through advertising or through hiring a network marketing ad agency to advertise for you. Now, how do you handle today’s increasingly chilly cold market? Well, you need to take more time to WARM IT UP!!!

Here are six network marketing strategies for warming up your cold market.

1. Whenever possible, use offline advertising sources such as postcards, newspapers, radio or TV. These prospects see your ad several times before responding, and are usually MUCH more highly qualified. If your ad is credible, people will trust you more easily.

2. If you must use internet advertising, be sure to use an established and proven leads source which includes the use of an e-mail autoresponder. This will allow you to contact people via e-mail legitimately, without spam complaints. If you are very serious about generating leads online, I recommend you create or purchase your own lead generating website. This takes time but is a lifelong investment if done correctly.

3. When you reach a person by phone, don’t rush the relationship building process. Find out what they are looking for, ask good questions, and really listen. Don’t be pushy, focus on their needs. If you’re new at working your cold market, team up with a successful leader in your upline who is experienced.

4. Offer something of value that is free like a report, eBook or consultation, that will both qualify and educate your prospect and that will also introduce you as part of the process. For example, on your free report include a link to your online photo album and your biography or “Get to Know Me” page.

5. Follow up several times to build familiarity and credibility with your prospect. Use an autoresponder to help you in this, but don’t depend on it. There is nothing like a good, old fashioned conversation to build trust. Sending a postcard in the mail may also help a lot!

6. Be a real person. Tell, don’t sell! Avoid sales pitches, instead, share your own story. Network marketing is about being your authentic best self. Let your heart and your integrity shine, and people will remember you and trust you. When they are ready to try your product or join your team, they will call you!

Training the New Network Marketing Distributor on Being a Good Sponsor

Training the New network marketing Distributor: Being a Good MLM Sponsor

Today I would like to discuss “Being A Good Sponsor.” While many of the people you recruit into your organization may have had previous experience in network marketing, many will be first timers.

Similarly, if you’ve been successful in recruiting people who were involved in other network marketing companies, you sponsored them because they were discouraged with their current company or were not receiving support or training. In other words, they weren’t as successful as they would have liked to be.

Wouldn’t that indicate to you that they don’t know the best way to do things? Well, that’s where you come in helping them lay that track for others to run on. Again, when new distributors know what works, they can proceed with confidence, and confidence is the harbinger of success. Remember, people are not duplicable, but systems are.

Being a Good Sponsor

Being a good sponsor means showing your new distributors “The Rules:”

Rule No. 1: Treat it Like a Business.
In order to be successful, your new distributors must truly want success, be coachable, and follow through on their commitments. In other words, they need to treat this business like a business.

Rule No. 2: Keep it simple.
If they can follow a simple procedure they will use the same system with their contacts. If they can see that what you did was simple, they will believe they can do it, too. If you had to really work on them, more or less “forcing” them into the business, your new distributors will not want to duplicate what you did and will not take any action.

Rule No. 3: Determine Their Reasons.
If you know what your new distributor wants from this venture, that is, why they want to succeed, you can understand how to get them over the rough spots and keep them on the road to success. Remember, most people will be tempted to quit with the first few setbacks because they were never clear on what they wanted to achieve in the first place. If their “why” is strong enough, the “how” will be easier to get across.

Rule No. 4: Establish Objectives.
Set specific sponsoring and financial objectives for the first 30, 60, and 90 days. People always perform better when they have specific goals in mind. Have your team member write down their goals and reevaluate them regularly.

Rule No. 5: Introduce Your Upline
Introduce new distributors to their upline, those leaders who are building a successful business and who are earning the type of income they’d like to earn. That way, if you’re not available to help them, they will have names and telephone numbers of others (you should give them at least 3) who they can contact for support. Further, by meeting others who are earning the type of income they’d like to earn, the system becomes more realistic and attainable.

Rule No. 6: Where’s the Tools?
Make sure they know how to get the tools they will need to share the business with others., such as tapes/CDs, brochures, business cards, etc. Every business needs information to disseminate with prospects. This one is no exception. Remember, people are not duplicable, but systems are. Teach them to let the tools do the talking for them.

Rule No. 7: Make a Prospect List.
Although everyone who makes a list doesn’t necessarily become a top earner, every top earner has a list. Typically, they’ll start with their Warm Market, because that’s the people they know. Have them work towards making a list of at least 100 people they can contact.

At this point, your new distributor should be ready to go. They have their “reason why” clearly in mind, specific objectives for the next 90 days, their upline’s contact information for plenty of support, the tools to get started, and a list of people to contact.

Having said that, remember Rule No. 8: Let Them Move at Their Own Pace.
Sponsoring a distributor is a process, not a single event. If they don’t want to move as fast as you do, that’s OK. You can’t change human nature. People will only do what they are willing to do. Encourage, yes, but don’t try to force people into something they aren’t willing to do. Lead by example.
